Short Hills & Wii Fit
I am fortunate to have a wonderful support system, among them my sisters Bernita and Barbara.
Bernita & Roxy have a couple of great little trails that they enjoy almost daily. They are already racking up the km for our journey! You can check out the 12 mile creek trail by clicking here.
Short Hills is another amazing place in the Niagara Region that Roxy and Bernita like to spend time at. There are several hikes to be had. Check out Shorhills by clicking here.
The weather around here was insanely windy, blustery, and blistery the first two days, so I dusted off my wii fit. I hadn't used it in three years, and the first thing it did was remind me of that! lol
This is a very old system, but it is working like a charm for me. Mind you, Miss Wii is a bit of smarty pants. The second thing I did was a fitness test and this is what she had to say about that:
Yet, I have no problem steering a dragon boat! This just goes to show you that you don't have to have great balance to be a steers.
A little bit of a warm-up and off I went for a 30 minute run. This works great for me. If you know me, you know I can't do high impact exercises due to degenerative disc disease and a crushed sciatic nerve from 18 years ago rendered my left foot very challenged. BUT, I can run on the spot and that's all wii fit needs me to do.
Woo Hooo 5.406 miles! That's 8.7 kilometers! What a strong start to my day!
This journey is exactly what I needed to light a fire under my butt! Thanks TEAM!!!
Never knew you had a balance challenge at any point in time. Just don't go for a dip when steering...lol.
